The search for a new car can become an exciting moment. Buying a new car can, however, become challenging due to the many options in the car market. In Australia, reports are released monthly on the top-selling cars. These monthly reviews can help you in your search as it narrows your options down. The current top-listed cars include the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Mitsubishi Triton.

1- Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux is one of the best-selling cars in Australia. Toyota Hilux features include a road sign assistant, lane departure alert, and active cruise control. A touchscreen that has smartphone connectivity is also a part of this car. The Toyota Hilux is a vehicle that has sold many units in Australia compared to all the other models (7500 units in June).

2- Mitsubishi Triton

The Mitsubishi Triton has a braked towing capacity of 3.1 tonnes and a 6-speed transmission. Its wheels are made of alloy and are 18-inch. It also has a lane change assist and a blind spot warning. The Mitsubishi Triton also has automated rain-sensing wipers and hill descent control. Finally, just like the Toyota Hilux, the Mitsubishi Hilux also has smartphone connectivity. It is the fourth best-seller this year in Australia.

3- Toyota Rav4.

The Toyota Ra4 is the second-best-selling vehicle in 2022, following the Toyota Hilux, with 13,862 units sold. Its features are a petrol-electric hybrid technology that ensures fuel efficiency and is optional. It also has multi-terrain options compatible with rock and dirt, mud and sand, or even everyday driving. It also has Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and Amazon Axela connectivity.

4- Ford Range

This year, the Ford Ranger has been the third-best-selling car after the Toyota Ra4. It has features like pedestrian detection, Bluetooth support, and lane-keeping aid. Other features include push-button start and recognition of traffic signs.

5- Mazda CX-5

In Australia, the Mazda CX-5 ranks fifth, selling after the Mitsubishi Triton. It has both petrol and diesel engines, rear parking sensors, and Smart City Brake Support. It also has a cruise control radar, and these features make it unique and increase its demand.

6- Toyota Prado

This car has a full-time four-wheel-drive system that has a low-range transfer case. The Toyota Prado also has an autonomous emergency braking system and rain-sensing wipers. Other defining features of the Toyota Prado are the rubber floormats, lane departure warning, a reversing camera, and keyless start and entry.

7- Isuzu D-Max

Its features are a six-speed transmission, Android and Apple smartphone connectivity, an 800 mm wading depth, an AEB, and a rear differential lock.

There are other top-selling cars in Australia, such as the Hyundai i30, MG HS, and Toyota Corolla. So, if you're looking to buy or finance a car, these models should be your first choice.
